On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, St. Francis High School will administer the Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test (PSAT). This test measures critical reading,
verbal reasoning, math problem solving, and writing abilities, and is connected with the National Merit Scholarship Program. Almost 7,000 students nationwide are awarded the prestigious Merit Scholarships for college undergraduate study.
While only 11th-grade students are eligible to compete for National Merit Scholarships based on their test performance, 10th-grade students may take the practice test. Through the experience, he/she may gain a clear idea of what to expect next year on the test, and therefore increase his/her chances of becoming a National Merit Scholarship recipient.
Below are the steps on how you can secure your spot by completing the payment for the PSAT/NMSQT. The cost of the test is $17 and can be paid for through your Infinite Campus account. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, November 24.
- Go to Fee Tab on the left
- Parents or students will select the SFHS-PSAT/NMSQT TESTING item to Add to Cart and can pay using debit/card.
Study guides will be available for pick up in the SFHS Student Union – Counseling Office for registered students.
Check-in for the test will begin at 7:45-8:00 a.m. at SFHS. The test will be administered during the first three periods of the day on January 26. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
