Student Attendance

It is the responsibility of the student’s parent/guardian to ensure the student is attending school, to inform the school in the event of a student absence, and to work cooperatively with the school to solve any attendance problems that may arise. It is recommended that doctor, dentist, or any other appointments be scheduled before or after the school day whenever possible.

  • Students May Enter Building at 8:55 a.m.

  • Start Time is 9:10 a.m.

  • End Time is 3:40 p.m.

Students who arrive at their classroom after the 9:10 a.m. bell will be considered tardy. A parent/guardian must accompany the student to the office to sign him/her in. Excessive tardiness will warrant a parent/principal meeting. Students who leave early will be marked tardy p.m.

For more on absences and tardiness, please refer to the K-5 Student Handbook.

Pick-up During the School Day

Come directly to the main office and sign your student out. The office staff will call your student to the office when you arrive and sign the student out. When/if the student is returning before the end of the school day, you must escort the student into the main office and sign them back into school. Your ID is necessary to pick up your student.

End of Day Dismissal

In an effort to minimize paper notes, all information regarding end of day dismissal changes must be sent to the following email:

In the email, please provide the student name, teacher name, and the change in pick up. For example: "Come to parent pick up" or "Ride the bus home". If someone other than you is picking up, please provide the name of that person. Please do not email or send notes to your students teacher with this information, use the email. All dismissal changes must be received no later than 3:00 P.M. to allow office staff time to notify your students teacher of any end of the day pick up changes. We recognize that emergency situations occur and we will certainly accommodate you in any emergency.

Students will not be released to anyone other than the parent or legal guardian without parent authorization at the end of the day.

Thank you for supporting our effort to make this a safe dismissal time for students. Each building will have a procedure. To support the safety of all students, your cooperation is needed to make evening dismissal safe.
