For the certification process, School-Based Enterprises (SBE) student leaders completed a written project to demonstrate how their SBE met the National Curriculum Standards and showcased how their SBE adheres to select model business standards.
With this certification process, Jack Humphrey will participate in the exclusive SBE Academy and competition at this year’s International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Ga.
This academic year DECA had a record number of submissions, with more than 1,000 SBEs submitting for chapter certification. SFHS was one among the 989 SBEs earning this honor.
The DECA Dugout: The DECA Dugout is a student-run school store offering Saints apparel and spirit wear to students, staff, and the community, with all designs created by DECA students. The store also sells snacks and beverages during specific times of the school day. All profits help offset student conferences and the DECA program.
