To help spread awareness and honor the meaning behind Memorial Day, a display was prominently featured at St. Francis High School and St. Francis Middle School this week. Organized by 25-year military veteran Mike Starr, the display highlighted articles about war heroes who courageously gave their lives for their country, inspirational quotes and other educational information.
The display was placed in a high-traffic area Monday-Wednesday morning at the high school and Wednesday afternoon-Friday at the middle school. Starr was there for most of the day to talk with and educate students about the important holiday that is more than just a day off of school. View photos of the display at the high school.
