Nathan Burr has been named the next St. Francis High School Head Wrestling Coach.
Burr brings more than 15 years of youth, middle school, and high school coaching
experience to the program, which is complemented by a distinguished 24-year military career.
“Nathan has a proven history of strong leadership,” said SFHS Activities Director Joan Johnson. “His dedication and commitment to athlete development will push our student-athletes to new heights, not only on the mat, but as people.”
Burr was most recently an assistant coach for both the SFHS and St. Francis Middle School wrestling teams. He has also brought his time and talents to the district as a middle school track and field coach, a fishing team coach, a parent volunteer, a substitute teacher and as the School Board Chair.
“Achieving the role of a high school head coach has been a personal dream of mine since my own high school days,” Burr said. “I am deeply committed to maintaining a culture of success and respect across all aspects of this program. I cannot wait to contribute to the storied history of Saints Wrestling. The program already possesses tremendous talent, and I am eager to build upon that strong foundation.”
