The following issues were discussed or presented during the School Board's October 9 meeting:
ยท Routine personnel items and reviewing of the disbursement report.
ยท St. Francis High School Student Council update on Senior Sunrise.
ยท Recognition of SFHS Senior Otto Nettebergโs achievement as a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist.
ยท Stacy Peikert, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, discussed math MCA scores and the Districtโs math instructional plan.
ยท Teacher Academy Coordinator Joe Fredrickson provided an update on the program. Through the Teacher Academy, Fredrickson noted, 93 of 108 elementary school staff are trained in the LETRS program.
ยท Peggy Tesdahl, Transportation Supervisor, shared that all routes have an assigned driver and there are currently three new drivers in training.
Superintendent Karsten Anderson provided an administration update where he discussed the following items:
- A referendum open house will be held on October 10th from 5:30-6:30 pm in the district office.
- Open Enrollment Information describing the amount of students entering and leaving the district through open enrollment options.
- Say Something reporting system recently implemented so that individuals can report safety-related concerns.
- The District Emergency Action Plan has been updated.
- The continued push to fill open positions across the District.
- An update on the internal communications plan currently in development.
